There are some doors that have very little protection from the sun, such as no overhang or south-facing. They  were either neglected or the owner is tired of fighting sun damage on the lower portion of the door. A kickplate is an easy way to protect the portion of the door that needs it the most.  We install a custom-made, thicker kickplate than most homeowners can purchase on their own.  It can dress up the door and add a little extra flare!

Wood garage doors can be tricky to maintain. Without a doubt, they add a huge statement piece to the home.  But often they take on full sun due to the lack of overhang available to to protect it, unlike a front door.  Wood garage doors need more maintenance than the front door due to constant UV exposure.  Extra coats of varnish and an annual maintenance can keep your garage door from ever needing to be stripped again!
